Our Ayurveda Treatments

Authentic therapies using herbal oils, medicated preparations, and time-honoured techniques.

Panchakarma

The cornerstone of Ayurvedic detox โ€” a supervised five-step purification programme including Vamana (emesis), Virechana (purgation), Basti (enema), Nasya (nasal therapy), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting). Eliminates deep-seated toxins (ama), rebalances doshas, and rejuvenates the entire system.

Ideal for: Chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, joint pain, seasonal cleansing, and general rejuvenation.

Duration: 7โ€“21 days under expert supervision.

Abhyanga

A luxurious full-body massage with warm, medicated herbal oils chosen for your dosha. Rhythmic strokes improve blood circulation, nourish tissues, lubricate joints, and calm the nervous system.

Ideal for: Muscle stiffness, dry skin, insomnia, anxiety, and general wellness.

Duration: 60โ€“90 minutes per session.

Shirodhara

A continuous, gentle stream of warm medicated oil poured onto the forehead (Ajna chakra) for 30โ€“45 minutes. One of Ayurveda's most profound therapies for the mind and nervous system.

Ideal for: Stress, anxiety, insomnia, migraines, depression, and mental fatigue.

Duration: 45โ€“60 minutes per session.

Udwarthana

An invigorating dry massage using herbal powders ( chickpea, triphala, and other medicated blends). Performed with upward strokes to break down subcutaneous fat and improve lymphatic drainage.

Ideal for: Weight management, cellulite, sluggish metabolism, and Kapha imbalance.

Duration: 45โ€“60 minutes per session.

Nasya

Nasal administration of medicated oils or herbal powders after gentle face and neck massage with steam. Clears the channels above the clavicle and nourishes sensory organs.

Ideal for: Sinusitis, allergies, headaches, hair fall, and mental clarity.

Duration: 30โ€“45 minutes per session.

Kati / Janu Basti

Localised oil pooling therapy where warm medicated oil is retained over a specific area using a dough dam. Kati Basti targets the lower back; Janu Basti focuses on the knees.

Ideal for: Chronic back pain, sciatica, knee arthritis, and disc problems.

Duration: 30โ€“45 minutes per session.

Pizhichil

Known as the "treatment for aristocrats" โ€” a combination of warm oil bath and gentle synchronized massage performed by two therapists. Deeply nourishing and rejuvenating.

Ideal for: Arthritis, neurological conditions, muscle wasting, and post-illness recovery.

Duration: 60โ€“90 minutes per session.

Swedana (Herbal Steam)

Therapeutic sweating induced through herbal steam after oil massage. Opens pores, liquefies toxins, relieves stiffness, and prepares the body for deeper Panchakarma procedures.

Ideal for: Muscular pain, stiffness, obesity, and as preparation for detox.

Duration: 15โ€“30 minutes per session.

Wellness Programmes

Customised multi-day packages combining therapies, herbal supplements, dietary plans, and lifestyle guidance for specific health goals.

Includes: Stress management, digestive reset, skin & hair care, postpartum recovery, and seasonal ritucharya programmes.

Duration: Tailored to individual needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

Every journey begins with a consultation where our practitioner assesses your dosha, health history, and current imbalances. The recommended treatment plan is always personalised โ€” never one-size-fits-all.

Is Panchakarma safe?

When performed by qualified practitioners under proper supervision, Panchakarma is safe and highly effective. Pre-procedures (Purvakarma) prepare the body, and post-procedures (Paschatkarma) ensure smooth recovery.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your condition and goals. A single Abhyanga session provides immediate relaxation, while chronic conditions may require a course of 7โ€“21 days. Your practitioner will advise after the initial consultation.

Are there any side effects?

Ayurvedic therapies use natural herbal preparations with minimal side effects when prescribed correctly. Mild detox symptoms during Panchakarma (fatigue, emotional release) are normal and temporary.

Can Ayurveda work alongside modern medicine?

Yes. Ayurveda can complement conventional treatments. Always inform our practitioner about medications and conditions you are being treated for, so we can ensure safe, coordinated care.
